I love VEG! everyone there is so friendly and patient. My dog was having an allergic reaction to god knows what, this was a first time experience for my sister and I. They gave us a lot of peace during the situation and answered all of our questions (we had a lot). Prices were fair, medical advice was sound, and they are always available to speak over the phone. Quite literally 24hrs! When in their care, they love your pet like it’s their own. My dog hates the vet, but they made him comfortable to the point he became compliant. Screaming thank you to Dr. Ganay, Dr. Chennault, and the supporting nurses during each visit.

VEG was competent, helpful and kind. They act quickly and seem to genuinely care about our bunny. The price for the service was reasonable as well. I recommend them and will go back if I need to.

Our puppy was having stomach issues (diarrhea & throwing up). Came here and was seen immediately. Everything was clean and great communication between the main vet and this team. Dr. Stevie and our nurse were amazing. Answered all our questions super quickly and comprehensively. She even gave us some preventative tips for long-term care for our pup at home. The nurse told us the facility is open concept, so you’re able to pretty much be next to your pet for almost every procedure, which is so important for keeping them calm in a usually stressful situation. Also, the cost wasn’t too much more compared with going to the normal vet, which was such a pleasant surprise. I highly suggest this capable team for anyone who needs speedy, accurate, and thoughtful care!

I cannot thank the team at VEG Schaumburg enough for the incredible care they gave my dog Remy. From the moment we arrived everyone was so kind and welcoming. They treated both my dog and I with genuine care. After Remy’s surgery they allowed me to stay overnight with her so I could be by her side. They are open 24 hours, which is very convenient. The room set up for family’s including a sofa bed is very considerate. My Son was able to visit w us as well. I wish I remembered all of the team members names who constantly checked on us and answered all of our questions and made sure Remy was comfortable and safe. Dr. Chernock is genuinely compassionate. He had a lot of patience for me at such a stressful time. Dr. Carney performed surgery, she is a Rock 💫 Star. Dr. Chernock and Dr. Carney complement each other very well. Dr. Carson the anesthesiologist is hands down the best, effortlessly winsome. Shout out to Alexis, Shannon, Christel, and the rest of the amazing staff. I am beyond grateful. They went above and beyond. Thank you.

So so amazing! I brought my dog Blu in for a wound bandage change and subsequent stitch-up of the wound. Dr. Kearney, Dr. Price and all of the vet techs are kind, empathetic, explain everything well and truly make every patient feel valued and cared for despite working in a super crazy and stressful environment! They make running a chaotic and unpredictable ER look easy and seamless. I’m so thankful I found VEG Louisville, thank you thank you thank you to all of the staff for your work!!

I arrived a couple of weeks ago with my heart and my mom's broken in thousands pieces getting ready for an awful outcome. One of my 4 legged babies was agonizing on my arms, we were a mess barely holding it by God's grace, the team received us and right away started putting things in motion to take care of my Fortu, and comforting us as well , I only have praises for the team at Veg, the nurses and Dr.Kennedy Tool, by the morning next things were so different and everything looked and felt just like a bad dream. I have 6 fur babies and Fortu is the youngest one and just as important as my senior dog, I hope to have kids one day soon so I can tell the story and they can meet my sweet Fortunato my most precious one ❤️ worth his weight in gold. Thank you guys At Veg for doing your best, my sweet mother and I are so grateful 🙏.

Everyone there took very good care of my dog Mandy today! The receptionist (Raven) was so kind and made us feel comfortable. The technicians and Doctors were friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. Noone ever wants to need the ER, but sometimes we do and it is so comforting to know how much they care! I also love that you are able to stay with your pet the whole time! The facility was very clean and rhe staff was continously cleaning which is also so great to see! Mandy says thanks for taking care of her 🥰🐾

I wish I remembered the names of everyone I saw the evening of 7/12, but I was truly so impressed with the entire staff. Being able to speak to a vet on the phone was a game changer, and I was seen immediately when I walked in with my dogs. The doctor and all of the techs were incredibly kind, sweet with my dogs, and very quick. I’ve never been in and out of an emergency vet so quickly! Although I don’t want to have to come back, I definitely would return to this location if my dogs ever need it again.

The amazing team at VEG saved my best friend and I will forever be indebted to them (both literally and figuratively 😅). I called in a panic that my 12year old pitbull may have bloat, and staff on the phone suspected the same, so we sped right over. Within minutes of arrival, the vet techs had done scans to confirm her stomach was indeed twisting and she needed surgery immediately. It was all-hands-on-deck to swiftly get her catheterization lines placed and release gas from her abdomen to give her some relief while the operating suite was being turned over from another surgery. I was allowed to stay with my baby as they prepped her, which was unexpected and deeply appreciated (despite how upsetting it is to see your baby go limp with sedatives and get intubated). They recognized a possible adverse reaction to the sedative within minutes and quickly reacted to address it. They kept me appraised of every step they'd be taking, then gave updates throughout the surgery. By some miracle, (really by the magic of the talented VMDs there), my old lady not only survived a major complication, (total splenectomy), but also came through surgery and recovered swiftly. I was even allowed to stay with her post-op in her kennel, which was another unexpected and happy surprise to me. I went from thinking it was time to say goodbye to my beloved old girl, to bringing her home less than 24hours later. I write this review 1-week post-op, with my old lady happily snoring next to me, and am certain this wouldn't be the case if not for how well-trained and impressive VEG staff is. Every extra moment with this girl is priceless, and VEG gave me time I didnt think I'd be getting as soon as I knew her diagnosis at this age. THANK YOU VEG!!

Lexi showing the doctors the "all clear" and back to enjoying her favorite pastime. We've given her raw bones while supervising her for over 10 years. Well, she managed to get one stuck in the roof of her mouth that we could not dislodge. The staff at VEG was phenomenal. They started treating her the minute we got into the door. Being able to see them treat her gave us a level of comfort. Highly recommend. PS...Lexi is happy to report she will only get the meat off the bone now.

An absolutely incredible team of people. They were very upfront and honest about Ollie’s situation. Unfortunately it was how I wanted my day to go but they were so amazing. They gave all the time I wanted while making sure Ollie was comfortable. And they treated her like their own after she was gone and I left. Amazing people. 10/10. Thank you all for everything.

Thank you V.E.G. You were all so compassionate, kind, professional and acted with a sense of urgency when we brought in our 10 year old Great Dane mix for a “compassion visit.” At a time when we were initially uncertain about our decision to move forward with euthanasia, you assured we had made the only choice. There was no time wasted on gaining our Onyx’s weight when we came in the door or questioning the state of Onyx’s health. Upon arrival, we were met in the foyer by staff that knew we were on our way in to be seen for the compassion visit. There was no wasted time with questioning the health of our beloved dog as it was apparent he was in distress. We cannot thank you enough for helping Onyx transition peacefully in a calm setting. Onyx is now in heaven and we will see him again 🌈

I first brought my 15-year-old dog here after she had a seizure a little over a month ago. I was incredibly impressed with how quickly the team acted, you could truly feel their sense of urgency and genuine care. Dr. Indya Woods was so kind, took the time to explain everything clearly, and respected every decision I made regarding my girl’s care. I loved being able to be with my dog throughout the whole process too! The nurse who helped us was also amazing, though I unfortunately can’t remember her name. It was such a scary and emotional situation, but I feel very grateful and blessed that my dog received the care she did. Update: Unfortunately, my girl had another, smaller seizure this morning just as I was about to leave for her primary vet. Since they were still closed, I called VEG for advice regarding the rescue medication they had previously sent us home with. They were incredibly kind, walked me through everything, and made me feel confident in my plan. Dr. Lauren Finney went above and beyond and even provided me an additional dose of the rescue medication, which I deeply appreciate. It gives me more peace of mind knowing I can help my dog at home if needed (though I pray I won’t have to). I would absolutely recommend this team to any pet owner facing an emergency. They truly care-not just for your pet, but for you as well!! Thank you all so much!!

I’m beyond grateful for everyone at this pet emergency hospital!! From the moment my mom and I walked in with my cat Polly, they took her in immediately and treated her with so much kindness and compassion. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly caring not just to me, but especially to sweet Polly. I wish I knew everyone's names because they all deserve to be recognized for their amazing hearts!!! The staff worked so quickly, kept us informed, and gave Polly the best care imaginable! Seeing how gentle, patient, and loving they were with her meant everything to us during such a scary time. Thanks to them, Polly got the help she needed and we were able to bring her home. I truly feel so blessed and thankful that we had this place. If I could give them a million stars I absolutely would!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such wonderful care of Polly. I will never forget the kindness you showed us🥰❤️

This is by far the best emergency vet I’ve ever been to. The staff (especially Taylor and Kristen) were kind, caring, and took great care of my baby! She was hospitalized overnight and I got to stay with her in a private room which made the whole experience so much less stressful for her.

My pet cat was quite ill. We were seen quickly and all the staff members were wonderful. They seemed to be working together well. We were seen quickly, my cat was assessed and treated quickly and appropriately. We were able to go home in a couple hours with a diagnosis and treatment that worked well. My cat was less than impressed with the temperature taking and suprapubic urine draw. My husband and I, human health care providers, were very pleased with the care. I let him sit on the deck with supervision the next day. We were surprised by the open concept treatment area. We saw so many sweet animals and we were praying for all of them. If we ever need ER vet care again, we are driving straight to VEG.

What started as an extremely difficult and emotional day ended in a level of kindness I haven’t experienced in a very long time. My dog had an emergency early this morning, and after months of ongoing stress and hardship, I was already overwhelmed. From the moment I walked in, I was met with compassion, patience, and genuine care. Dr. Ayoub was incredibly kind, thorough, and thoughtful—taking the time to explain everything and making sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Caitlin at reception was phenomenal and truly a gem / angel on earth. Thank you for chatting with me while I was so nervous. Every single person I interacted with treated me with such warmth that I found myself overwhelmed with emotion—in the best way. They took amazing care of my Suki, and I left not only with peace of mind, but with a sense of hope and positivity that I hadn’t felt in quite some time. I will recommend this team to anyone and everyone. It’s clear they truly love animals—and just as importantly, they care for the people who love them. Dr. Ayoub, I will never forget your compassion and kindness. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

VEG is phenomenal. I cannot express enough how knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and thorough they are. Yesterday was the second time our mini Aussie has had a vaccine reaction requiring emergency care. The first time was full blown anaphylaxis.. this time was a bad case of hypersensitivity. Dr Sullivan was incredible, spent time with us, and answered tons of questions. The Vet nurse Cass was also amazing. This team, and VEG as a whole deserves to be recognized daily for the incredible work they do. I hope VEG continues to grow, every pet should have access to the kind of care they give. We had the idea to make them a care package to say thanks , I’m sure they don’t get as many thank you’s as they deserve ( Mia helped us make it ) THANK YOU ALLLL !!!!

Excellent experience with VEG ER in San Ramon , professional team oriented work flow. We were informed throughout our visit and especially appreciate the transparency and open approach to the veterinary care. We were able to be with our dog Olive as she was given sedative , monitoring, exam and diagnosis of bilateral ear infections by a veterinary nurse and two DVM! Highly recommend this vet emergency room. Big thank you to Dr Christine Kim DVM and Kylie C. RVT for their professional top notch care !!

Dear Dr. McMurray, Dr. Hetrick, Dr. Salzbrenner, Gretta, Ashley, and Lance’s entire care team:: Thank you for saving Lance’s life. Your knowledge, professionalism, kindness, and extraordinary care exceeded my expectations. Dr. McMurray, thank you for calling during your time off with the radiologist's results. Your proactive communication and seamless handoff to Dr. Hetrick ensured Lance was in great hands right when we arrived for his re-check and chest X-Rays. Dr. Hetrick was thorough and compassionate in her exam. We were so grateful to be admitted and to spend the night with Lance in a private room. Dr. Hetrick monitored him continuously over-night and when I woke up, Dr Salzbrenner and her nurse, Gretta, had been briefed and he was under their care. Dr. Salzbrenner’s diagnostic expertise and initiative in consulting with the specialists at ISU Small Animal Hospital secured his vital referral. Ashley safely drove Lance to ISU while Gretta expertly administered oxygen the entire trip. They waited for me in the parking lot and upon arrival gave me an update and ensure I knew where to go. Lance was already back in triage and receiving care before I arrived. Lance spent the next several days in the ICU, and without your expert diagnosis, dedicated care, and critical medical transport, I do not believe he would have survived. I cannot thank you all enough for ensuring he received the absolute best treatment. We are forever grateful, Jen

Absolutely outstanding service from VEG pleasant hill that words alone cannot describe. Unfortunately our cat ate a hair tie and needed induced vomitting immediately. Upon arrival the team here was extremely quick to assess Kylans situation and take care of him as fast as possible. Even with other situations going on at the time Kylan received the best care possible and the vets were able to get the hair tie out. Because of the situation we were unfortunate enough to not catch the names of the vets that assisted us but they provided us excellent service and went above and beyond to reassure us of the situations and provide a layout of what procedures will/might need to be done. We felt extremely blessed walking out tonight and are extremely grateful for each and everyone of the vets at VEG Pleasant hill. Thank you so much for helping save our kitty!

I cannot recommend this emergency animal hospital enough. A few weeks ago, we had to bring our cat, Tony, in because he was coughing and wheezing. We didn't think it was a true emergency at first, but the staff immediately took him to the back and began running tests. While the outcome was heartbreaking and we ultimately had to say goodbye to him due to a likely cancerous mass in his throat, I cannot praise the staff enough for their extraordinary care. During the many hours my daughter and I were there, we watched the staff interact with numerous families coming in with sick or injured pets. The entire team was consistently attentive, compassionate, and deeply empathetic to everyone. When it came time to make the hardest decision for Tony, the staff was incredibly kind. They prioritized Tony's comfort, allowing me to go home and bring the rest of my family back to say goodbye. They never rushed us. They let us spend all the time we needed with Tony before and after the procedure, treating him with the utmost respect and dignity. I honestly do not know how this staff mentally and emotionally handles seeing pet owners on the worst days of their lives, day in and day out, but they haven't lost an ounce of their warmth. They treated Tony and our family like we were special. In the middle of a devastating situation, we were in the best possible hands. Thank you for your extraordinary kindness.

A couple of months ago, we had to rush our dog, Acadia, here after we thought she had ingested rat poison. They got her back within minutes and started treatment immediately. We are so grateful for the amazing care they gave Acadia. Thank you all so much!

My dog was 13:year old female rough collie that started to decline in health as soon as she turned 13. She had been under care of my regular vet. Well on July 4th she started to have this weird whine bark; she had a similar behavior the night before but settled down. She seemed like she was anxious; so I tried to find out who could see her. I called the VEG in Leesburg and they told me to bring her in. ...I had told them over the phone I had decided it was time - she wasn't eating, could barely walk etc. I arrived; they came out to get her from my car and was already triaging her I had one person give me a glass of water while they were treating her ...they made sure I was comfortable while attending to my dog. The vet ran blood work and did a CT scan to confirm she didn't have anything wrong in her abdomen. They were also working on getting her temperature down but said it wasn't heat stroke. We decided the right decision was to let her go and the vet agreed. They took us to another room; the vet compassionately and caring let her go. She explained to me the process. The whole staff was compassionate and caring from the moment we came in to my dog's euthanasia. Today I got a card from them

We brought in our little girl Bluebelle after she had an intense anaphylaxis reaction that caused a complete system evacuation and could have threatened her life. The vets and staff were absolutely incredible. We were met at the door and they immediately went to work. Their level of professionalism and care was only exceeded by their kindness. They took care of all of us, admitted Bluebelle and I got to stay with her in our own room all night. It was a long night but thanks to the amazing people in this super clean facility, we get to have more time with our girl. 5 stars isn’t enough to explain our gratitude. Thank you all so much!!!

The most transparent veterinary care experience I have had (in WA, CA, or MI)! The facility has comfortable spaces for pets and people. The team kept me informed and invited me to be as hands-on as I wanted to be (with the exception of in the X-ray and operating rooms, but these had windows so I could see everything I cared to look at). The team was compassionate, competent, and genuinely cared about my dog Fezzik and trying to get the best outcome. Dr. Cat was more than thorough (and had a banger of a playlist for operating) in the effort to get all the answers and find solutions for my pup. Additionally, the estimate that I accepted and paid was slightly higher than the actual costs, and my credit card was refunded the difference the very next day.

My boyfriend and I adopted a puppy from a shelter on Monday 3/23. The next day, we noticed her spay incision was opened and appeared infected. We brought her to VEG because it was the closest animal ER that was open. We were asked immediately after entering what the problem was and got into a room right after. We did not have to wait for anyone to come in and Suki was evaluated right then and there. Everyone was so sweet and genuine and we could tell that they were taking us seriously. Suki got an ultrasound to check that her internal stitches were still intact and then we were given a mild sedative (gabapentin), pain medication, and antibiotic for her. We were expecting to pay a minimum of $1000 but the whole visit was a little over $300. We went to an ER for our cat a while ago that also only needed an ultrasound and it costed $1,300 not including the initial visit fee so we were pleasantly surprised by VEG’s pricing to say the least. Dr. Ella Macquisten was so great and understanding and also made sure that we were involved with everything and didn’t make any decisions without asking first. We were in and out within an hour and Suki is doing great. Could not recommend this ER enough.

I am a retired RVT and was blown away when I first walked in. The open concept, clients sitting there watching everything going on....and it only got better from there! I love how professional everyone was and how the doctors communicated with eachother regarding my dog. We saw 3 Vets in total, Dr. Neal did the splenectomy, Dr Kat was there when we came to visit and answered all of my questions, viewed prior xrays I had on my laptop and concurred with my assessment, we also saw another Dr (whose name I can't remember, but she got injured and had to leave) when we first got there and made us feel comfortable right away. All of the techs/assistants were just amazing and we were even offered to spend the night if we wanted to. Absolutely incredible! I have already been recommending VEG with every post I have made on the socials. I wish I was still able to work because VEG is definitely a place I would want to be at! Thank you so much to everyone we encountered at the Henderson location, we hope we don't ever have another emergency, but if we do, we know where we are headed!

VEG saw my French bulldog for a heat related injury. As soon as we walked in the door we were met with prompt attention to our girl. She was on a treatment immediately despite the fact she was in fairly stable condition. The entire staff was so welcoming, loving and empathetic. Dr. Eisemenn met with us instantly and began the exam right away. Dr. Eisemenn and his team were excellent! Yes, emergency visits are expensive and we were provided an estimate without asking. We really appreciated the upfront transparency. Happy to say our girl is feeling as best as she can and she is recovering nicely at home. We are really grateful to the VEG team because this could have been a worse situation. Thank you!

All the technicians and the Dr. were extremely gentle, friendly and caring with my shy, scared cat. They did the labs right there so we could begin the necessary treatment without having to ‘endure’ another car ride in the carrier. The doctor explained the tests and treatment options well, and I was given information on what to keep an eye on in the coming weeks. The exam, treatment and explanations were not rushed and I felt all my questions were answered. I was very impressed with everyone and everything.

I have often found the other emergency vets in the area have staff too undertrained and not equipped to deal with actual procedures. When my cat accidentally swallowed a six inch piece of string at 12:30am Saturday, I debated about calling any of them for an hour. Then I remembered there was a new one I saw on Dorset Street. It was a very long night and they had to try a couple methods, but they were all so calm and pleasant and prepared to actually treat the problem there. Surgery was not necessary but they were ready if it came to that. None of the ‘sorry we can’t do that here you’ll need to wait to see your regular vet in two days’ I’ve gotten from the other places. I was so emotional and drained and dreading the wait for her procedure, but the rooms are equipped with futons! They even have pillows and blankets! I was able to relax and just focus on keeping my cat comfortable. This is a place that understands how exhausting the stress can be and how many people will spend the night unwilling to leave their pets. Their facilities are clean and everything is thought of; I was too upset to eat but I did see they had a variety of snacks and amenities. I’m so glad I made the call and gave VEG a chance. My cat was back to herself and string-free when I got her home. The cost is high but that is simply the nature of an emergency vet and was expected. Luckily we have pet insurance to cover some and they take CareCredit. Really glad VEG is in the area now.

Early in the morning at 5:03 AM on July 17, 2026, my dog Ryan got bit by a Mojave green while we were running around in the desert. Absolutely outstanding care! We brought our retired Military Working Dog in after a bad hit-by-car injury, and the team at VEG was phenomenal. A huge thank you to Victoria (our vet tech) and Dr. Hopper for their skill and compassion. The entire staff worked together seamlessly — it was impressive to watch. The front desk lady was also wonderful and so helpful. One tiny suggestion: name badges or quick introductions would be nice so we can personally thank everyone. VEG is truly the gold standard for emergency vet care in North Atlanta. Highly recommend!

I want to share my excellent experience at the VEG ER for Pets veterinary clinic. I brought my pet, Texas, and we received exceptional care from the very first moment. Dr. Abedelhadi was highly professional, attentive, and dedicated to explaining every detail of my pet's condition, which gave me great peace of mind. Nurses Kelly and Ashley, along with assistants Sam and Cally, were incredibly kind throughout the visit and attentive to every need. I also want to highlight the receptionist, Jackie, who welcomed us with a very warm and efficient attitude. The entire team was prepared even before we arrived, demonstrating their commitment and organization. Overall, the care we received was warm, professional, and deeply compassionate. I felt I was in good hands, and I would undoubtedly recommend this place to anyone seeking quality veterinary care for their pet—because our pets are part of the family.

I'm so grateful for the kindness and compassion we received during one of the hardest days of our lives. We had to say goodbye to our sweet 2-year-old kitty after unexpected heart failure, and every single person treated us with such empathy and respect. Thank you for caring not only for our pet, but for our family too. We will never forget your kindness. ❤️

We had to rush our pups to this hospital recently and the level of care, concern and compassion was outstanding. I was a mess, and they all treated me with the same care and compassion they did my puppies. I especially liked that the assistant had a high level of knowledge. I will only be bringing my animals to this location from now on.

We can't say enough good things about VEG ER in Clearwater. Our 10 year old Yellow Lab had a complete intestinal blockage, and we spent 14 hours there. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was incredible. We were there through three different shifts, and every single person from the lead veterinarian to the nurses, technicians, and front desk staff was compassionate, patient, and genuinely caring. One thing that was very important to us is they allowed us to stay with our dog the entire time. Once a room was available, they prepared a private room with a small couch so we could be as comfortable as possible while staying by his side. That level of compassion made such a difficult situation a little easier to get through. Even after we went home, I called the next two days because I still had questions about our dog's condition. The veterinarians on duty took the time to answer every question without rushing me, and I truly appreciated that. VEG made the best of a very scary and emotional experience. If your pet ever has an emergency, I highly recommend them. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for both pets and their families was exceptional.

I first brought my toy poodle Milo here back in April and they were so helpful and friendly. I brought him back yesterday and they were very understanding and accommodating. My biggest problem with most vets is not feeling understood and not being able to be with my dog for his care, but VEG allows you to be with your pet the entire process and they are very attentive. For my visit yesterday my dog was seen by Dr. Tool and she is phenomenal. VEG is truly the best of the best.
