I called because they were one of the ER open at 10:00pm on Friday night. They were so helpful and helped my cat. I came back the next day and they helped my cat again. I would hope i don't have to come back but if i did i would come back here. I liked that i was able to stay with my cat.

We brought our dog in on a Sunday morning after being bit by another dog and the entire staff here were phenomenal from the second we arrived to the moment we left. They were attentive, compassionate, understanding and accommodating. All procedures were discussed and we were made sure we knew what was going to happen and why. I wanted to hug everyone before we left. Thank you all for taking care of our girl.

Good experience. I do highly recommend them. They are very well equipped, clean, Professional and compassionate. Able to do procedures, most other vets in this area do not offer. Dr. Hendrick was great. Whole staff was very professional, understanding and compassionate. God bless all the fur babies and their families. God bless this wonderful team. Can be expensive. Very accommodating, to try to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

I cannot thank VEG ER enough for everything they did to save my little Dumpling. Our kitten got into our dogs flea and tick medicine which is very toxic to cats and my baby started to have tremors and throwing up a few hours after she ingested his medicine. I called VEG ER and from the moment they answered the phone I knew I was going to have a good experience and instantly felt like I could trust them. They were so kind on the phone, advised us to come in right away. As soon as we walked in they knew who we were and called in for a STAT treatment and when I say all the nurses and doctors from the young gentleman who triaged us were SO KIND And took us in immediately! Started treating our Dumpling right in front of us and kept us informed the entire time of what was happening. They pulled up chairs for us to sit with her in the trauma area while they worked on her and All the nurses were so attentive of her, monitoring her tremors while the doctor was figuring out a treatment plan. She needed to spend the night to get her medication and be monitored for symptoms and the care and services were unmatched! We got lucky and was able to bring our baby home the next day and she has fully recovered! We will forever be grateful for the WONDERFUL team at VEG ER in Willow Grove!

Where can I start, well for one I wish I knew the names of the ladies that helped us when I went with my precious Nala, whom I miss so much. We called in on May 19th at 3am and told the very nice lady who answered what was going on with Nala and how she was having a hard time breathing and slobbering all over. Was instructed to fill out a form so that they can have her information ready on file and to bring her in right away. We were received at the door and taken care of immediately. Unfortunately we were shown on the ultrasound that she was having heart issues and had fluid all around her heart. She was already dying so we had to choose to let her go in peace. The 3 doctors were very supportive with me and my daughters. It was a very hard decision but I didn’t want her to suffer. Thank you for being so patient and compassionate with us. It meant the world 🌎 to us. Thank you also for the box you added Nala’s body in and for the beautiful card you sent us. We have it in our fridge. They’re the kindest people I’ve ever met. I highly recommend them.

Went to VEG ER in Elk Grove, CA on Sunday 6/21/26. Let me start with they were absolutely wonderful! I have heard great things from friends in the vet field and I follow the VEG instagram as well. They definitely did not disappoint. My soul dog, Lilly, has kidney disease and heart disease and was fitting the symptoms for possible kidney failure. Nolan did our intake and was very kind and down to earth. Dr. Huntyr Mcmurty was Lilly’s doctor and she was compassionate, kind, caring, and listened very well. Dr. Mcmurty laid out what our options are and we agreed to proceed with blood work to check kidney values and go from there.after blood work supporting what I expected, extremely increased kidney values, Dr. Mcmurty explained our next options for hospital care or supportive care until humane euthanasia, of which we decided to do the latter since Lilly is 15.5yrs old. Overall the experience, as hard as it is to be with your sick fur baby, was very pleasant because of the wonderful care team and staff. I regret that I didn’t catch everyone’s name that helped Lilly, but each person was exceptional. All this to say it was very busy, a bit short staffed, and yet they still managed to remain calm, triage very well, and provide excellent care. If anyone needs an emergency vet I will always recommend VEG. Oh and those curious of pricing: with a sick and elderly dog I already expect to pay at least $500, and with ER vets I thought it would be significantly more, but was under $600 for an exam, blood work, medication, and subcutaneous fluids. So in my opinion very reasonable and well priced. Thank you VEG for all you do. Vets, vet techs, nurses, assistants, you are all amazing and no amount of praise can describe my gratitude towards you all. Thank you ❤️

I unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to put my sweet girl to sleep. I cannot thank the VEG ER staff enough for their kindness, patience, and empathy. Special thanks to Dr. Cuccaro for her amazing bedside manner and providing me with all of the details to make an informed decision; Theodore whose calming presence made such a difficult situation easier to handle; and Nathan who was so gentle with my baby. They allowed me to take as much time as I needed with her before and after & went out of their way to make sure we were both comfortable. It’s a decision nobody wants to make, but if you have to this is certainly the place to do it.

Absolutely outstanding service from VEG pleasant hill that words alone cannot describe. Unfortunately our cat ate a hair tie and needed induced vomitting immediately. Upon arrival the team here was extremely quick to assess Kylans situation and take care of him as fast as possible. Even with other situations going on at the time Kylan received the best care possible and the vets were able to get the hair tie out. Because of the situation we were unfortunate enough to not catch the names of the vets that assisted us but they provided us excellent service and went above and beyond to reassure us of the situations and provide a layout of what procedures will/might need to be done. We felt extremely blessed walking out tonight and are extremely grateful for each and everyone of the vets at VEG Pleasant hill. Thank you so much for helping save our kitty!

Hands down the best 24-hour Emergency Animal Hospital experience I have ever had. Each doctor, nurse, technician and customer service representative I dealt with was patient, kind, knowledgeable and supportive. They took excellent care of my 17-year-old cat going above and beyond for him. They made sure I was comfortable to stay with him in the facility, even preparing a bed for me with sheets, a pillow, and a blanket. I was able to spend as much time as I wanted with him, making his experience and recovery better. He is now back home and doing well.❤️

My experience at VEG ER was one in a million! Everything and everyone was absolutely amazing. The care My baby received was beyond any expectations I had. The open concept is amazing. It also helps to see how they care for other patients. It helps you relax and reassures you that your pet will receive the same treatment. I believe Chloe recovered faster because I was able to stay with her. She was admitted for 2 days. I will recommend this emergency vet hospital to everyone who asks me. As far as pricing, im not sure what the going rate is for this kind of service but I don't regret having to pay it. I was able to use care credit to pay it.

This company was highly recommended by my grandma in Texas. We found the closest location and called as we were at loss. We had spent thousands on our rescue baby we got in June. We tried everything, prescription food, limited water, antibiotics, potty breaks every hour, blood work, multiple kinds of testing, ultrasounds ect. Not once were kidneys mentioned. Within 5 minutes on the call the vet was composed, knowledgeable, and understanding. She talked us through every option we had. Ultimately tonight our baby passed over the rainbow bridge. She went happy, loved and cared for. My heart is broken but I’m very thankful for the staff and vets in this practice. They didn't want to put another bandaid. They were honest, direct, and helped us with making sure our baby was not suffering.

This place is amazing! If your pet has an emergency, come straight here! They allow you to stay with your pet at all times and they do all procedures right in front of you. Our dog was here for 48 hours and we were allowed to sleep right next to her. The staff is AMAZING, kind, professional, friendly, competent. I do not have a single negative thing to say.

We brought our cat Roxy in not really knowing what was wrong. Emergency vets can be a little overwhelming but this location had some of the nicest staff I've ever met in the vet field. Dr Johnstone and the staff were incredible. They were quick to get vitals on my cat, listen our concerns and previous medical concerns to try and figure out what was wrong. After some test came back it was determine our cat was in a dire urgent situation due to her diabetes. After Dr Johnstone thoroughly went over treatment options we decided euthanasia would be the most humane option. It's never easy to say goodbye to a pet. I had my furball for over 15 years. The staff was so sincere with the process. Making sure we had a private room, had time to say our goodbyes and just over all very professional. I was happy to hear they offer paw and nose prints free of charge and a patch of fur. My Roxy will be cremated and returned back within a week or so. I just want to thank the entire staff again for their professionalism and sincerity in this tough choice. They never once made me feel what I chose was the bad route. They all listened to stories about our cat and all praised how even with her being sick they could she was loved and how she snuggled up to my shoulder while being examined. This was simply the best experience I could have asked for under these circumstances.

Amazing first experience, we couldn’t be more grateful. What a positive experience. We brought our 17 year old puggle, Mocha, in for Cushings related concerns when she was not doing well and could barely walk. Our regular vet was closed, and honestly, we are thankful it worked out that way because we found Dr. Randy Posada and his incredible team. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. The front desk intake lady was kind and attentive, and what really stood out was how directly and efficiently they communicated with the doctor right away, something we have not experienced at any other ER vet. Dr. Posada went above and beyond. He immediately performed an ultrasound, thoroughly checked everything. You could tell he carefully took his time evaluating and caring for Mocha. He noticed she was in pain and carefully assessed her spine, even identifying twitching in specific areas, which led him to suspect IVDD and spinal related pain. His attention to detail and calm, thoughtful approach made all the difference. She got a pain injection and medicine to take home right away so she doesn’t have to suffer one second longer. He gave us his full, undivided attention, never rushed, and explained everything clearly. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. His medical notes were extremely thorough and he even sent over everything to our primary vet, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, Mocha started feeling better by the next day. My mom and I are so very impressed! Seeing her improve after being so uncomfortable was such a relief. We felt completely supported and confident that our pup was in the best hands. We are beyond impressed and so thankful. If you ever need an emergency vet (hopefully you do not), this is absolutely the place to go. Do not go anywhere else.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Dr. Beverly and his team! From the moment we walked in the door, we were met with genuine compassion and kindness. Our family was quite distraught over our 5yr Malamute/Shepard mix being in respiratory distress, especially when we found out it was due to spontaneous pneumothorax. He explained everything thoroughly, listened to our concerns, provided us with options, and came up with a treatment plan that worked best for our family. We are so thankful to say that the chosen treatment plan worked, and our sweet girl is back home with us. We will forever be grateful for Dr. Beverly and everyone else that helped care for Dakota ❤️.

This isn’t our first visit to VEG, and I’m sure it won’t be our last—pet emergencies have a way of striking when you least expect them. It’s an enormous comfort knowing their team of wonderful, strong (mostly) women 💪 are there whenever we need them. I’m especially grateful they allowed me to stay by my pet’s side throughout treatment and included me in her care. No one knows a pet better than their owner, and that partnership made all the difference in her comfort and recovery. The staff answered every question with patience and kindness throughout our stay. Carla, our nurse, was gentle and attentive with our girl in a way that meant more than words can express. Dr. Croel was thorough, direct, and honest with us every step of the way. The facility itself is spotless, and the staff clearly prioritize patient care in everything they do. As much as we hope to never need an emergency vet, we’re deeply grateful VEG is there when we do. Maya and her family thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Super attentive and sweet. Dr.Alexander and Brie were quick to action when our sweet pup ate an AirPod (ugh I know..) They told us about previous experiences they have had and how they typically went to ease our minds. Our little guy went right along with them and they were so kind with him. He looks sad here but I promise he loved all the affection.

I am super impressed with this vet ER! The place looks very hospital-ish and everyone is communicating and helping others. There were other families and dogs being take care of around me, but it never felt like we were being ignore in order to treat others. The hospital manager was great, she was going around asking everyone how they were doing, offering drinks and snacks, she even provided me with a charger for my phone since I forgot mine and my phone was dying. They explained everything they were doing with Bella to me and made sure I understood what the test, med or result was! They took x-rays and ultrasound on my Bella and they did amazing! She usually squirms and gets annoyed when other people try to hold her down or flip her on her back, but they did amazing! Overall I am super impressed by the care for both pets and their humans! If I could make this my permanent vet, for routine things I would! I would absolutely drive the hour just to go to them! 💚 Thank you to all of the people making sure our fur babies are healthy and happy! 🐶💚

Mel, Elly, and Marianne were world-class. Such an incredible, caring, and personable team. This is hands down the best vet service I’ve ever experienced. Everyone was completely locked in and genuinely cared about my cat. You can tell this isn’t just a job to them. They were super responsive, compassionate, and always one step ahead. We made a visit to VEG Henderson for our cat who had a urethral blockage. They triaged him extremely quickly and efficiently, and he was in surgery within the hour. The clinic is open concept and they allowed me to watch his procedure, ask questions, and see his care team in action. He stayed for 48 hours and every shift did an amazing job taking care of him. They allowed me to stay with him as long as I wanted, and I was even able to say hello and chat with some of the other owners, too. The staff really care about the animals and owners and are always happy to answer questions. I’m so grateful for the wonderful care team. They also offer a 10% military discount.

The level of customer service was exceptional, and it was evident that everyone genuinely cared about the well-being of my pet. Dr Colyer and Team conducted a very thorough examination and made sure we understood the treatment plan every step of the way. I am truly grateful for the outstanding care we received and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of emergency veterinary services.

We spent the last three days at VEG with our beloved 5 year old dog, Jammer, initially suspecting he had HGE… which turned into a much more harrowing experience than we could have fathomed when he didn’t respond well to treatment. We were terrified, emotional, and thought we would have to euthanize him after 36-40 hours (and even planned his necropsy, prepared to say our goodbyes.) Each and every single vet and tech and receptionist we worked with over the past few days was nothing but compassionate, caring, supportive, and willing to discuss each and every option. The fact that this amazing team was even willing to consult criticalists on his behalf multiple times speaks to how much they care… and ultimately was what saved him, along to their top-notch care, their willingness to allow me to assist with treatments, and even permitting me to do his esophageal tube feedings unassisted. He is alive today thanks to the team at VEG. His future is unsure… and we have a long road ahead of us, but we wouldn’t have even had that option if not for this team. He is HOME, which is all I ever wanted through this ordeal, even if it’s not for long. I cannot, and I mean CAN NOT, thank everyone at VEG enough. Jam, my husband, and I are beyond grateful. Thank you for allowing us to stay with our boy throughout the insane holiday weekend, providing us everything we needed, and caring for him like he mattered to you like he matters to us. Dr. Summers, Dr. Huff, Dr. Mac, Dr. Lockhart, Dr. Logan — and most especially Jam’s angel of a tech, Sam — THANK YOU for saving him for us to see couch naps and car rides and joy again.

This was my first time having to take my pet to an ER vet and my expectations were beyond met. Dr. Funk was so attentive and proactive in getting my dog back to himself and was thorough through the whole process. Nurse Kaitlyn was so kind and hospitable towards my pet and went above and beyond to make sure we were both comfortable. I could shout out every person on their team and I believe that my dog was able to recover as fast as he did because of the care and love that he received at this office. They even rolled out a red carpet and celebrated his recovery as we left! 10/10 service and care!

I would like to highly recommend and thank the emergency animal hospital VEG ER in White Plains on Tarrytown Road. My newly adopted cat needed emergency care for a surprise bladder issue on Sunday morning and again on Monday night. The vets, vet techs and staff there were so amazing and our boy got the best care. Please visit them if your pet needs emergency care. I was blown away by their thorough care and extremely good bed side manners and kindness with humans and animals. You can tell these people love animals and their jobs. Also please keep Rubio in your prayers for continued healing. Thanks! Before and after pictures thanks to VEG ER in White Plains! Wow! what a facility. Nothing fancy but efficient. The staff is fabulous! They made me feel at such ease when my bird was attacked by a cat. The doctor and vet assistant were so caring and knew their stuff. Nothing reassures a parent more.I travelled all the way from Clarksville, and would do it again in a heart beat. This VET emergency location is truly the best. They are so compassionate, timely, collaborative and supportive during a visit. While emergency vet situations are difficult to navigate, they take their time to ensure you understand what is happening with your pet and what the options are so that you can make a true informed decision about your pets care. Sedation for a Frenchie is very difficult and they took so much time and care to make sure he could breathe and handle procedures without issue. I wish these providers and techs were primary care as I would not hesitate to take my sweet puppies to them for their standard care. With three “Bo’s” being cared for at once, there was no time they were confused. Our Bo received so much love and support while we navigated his swollen gland. He is now home and snuggling with his sister. Thank you for all that you do. You’re truly amazing individuals!

TL;DR: My dog Peanut had emergency bowel obstruction surgery and was hospitalized for 4 days and VEG was beyond incredible. Wednesday morning my dog was refusing food for the 2nd time, had no balance, had been throwing up and needed help. Brought her to VEG ER for Pets in Maple Grove. Immediate in, X-Rays, blood work, IV, and a nasal tube to her stomach because they were going to try and empty it. Bloat was removed out immediately but they came back with an intestinal blockage and severe dehydration. Not quite sure how far down the blockage was or what it was entirely. There was a chance it was hair and grass and that mass hydration could get it to move and we wouldn't need surgery. So we stayed and hydrated through her IV for 8 hours she went through almost a liter of fluids IV. The first time they tried to empty her stomach there was no luck. The 2nd time they emptied 900ml of fluid from her stomach. Almost a liter of fluid just sitting in her stomach. They re-ran all the tests and sadly she needed surgery. They were quick, prepped her and were going to start immediately. I went home because I needed to take care of my other dog. They called about 2 hours later. Surgery went extremely well, they removed the blockage and were keeping her the night for recovery and for her GI track to wake up and start moving Thursday I went down and saw her for a couple hours, sat with her, tried to get her to eat with no luck. Brought one of my sweatshirts for her for comfort. Did get her to drink water and they were still pulling a lot of fluids from her stomach because her GI track wasn't waking up. I went home for a couple hours before going back down again. She had started to have some diarrhea but it was just watery on herself. They determined to keep her another night with the hope of Friday to be the day. Friday I got an update that improvement stalled. She wasn't progressing but she wasn't worsening. Her potassium had also dropped significantly. So they'd put her back on it and had also started to feed her through her NG tube to try and get her GI track to wake up and function again but based on the quantity of fluid they were still extracting they were going to keep her for the day. I went down to see her and they did inform me she'd licked some baby food. I also brought down a chicken and rice mixture for her. She was beginning to get reactive and snippy with the vet techs when it came to her NG tube or IVs but we made some steps with her eating some of the food I brought and was told before I arrived she'd eaten more baby food as well. I was hopeful for Friday evening. I called to check after I'd gone home again but she was still producing too much fluid in her stomach that they didn't feel comfortable sending her home. Saturday morning 6:25am I woke to a phone call. She'd improved drastically overnight. Was eating more, keeping less fluid in her stomach, and had the diarrhea under control. I could come get her and bring her home. I told them I'd be there in an hour. A little after 8am Peanut and I were on our way home. I'm beyond grateful and appreciative of all the staff at VEG for their dedication, help, and support.

First time here and we will 100% be coming back for any future emergencies with our dog (hopefully not too many times lol). Our girl was taken care of from the second we walked in to the minute she left. We were able to be there with her the whole time, and all the staff were such a joy. Grateful it wasn’t life threatening—even then they still treated her with priority and made us feel heard. Thank you to the team! She says thank you as she’s currently on her pain meds lol

I’m so pleasantly surprised with the amazing treatment our kitty got at VEG ER in Dublin. We expected it would be a long wait and we’d be there for hours waiting for next steps. They got us in quickly and set up a plan and communicated efficiently with us. The docs and nurses were very kind and gentle with our cat. Keeping us updated while kitty stayed overnight and are still checking up after discharge. I had no worry about Kitty being in their care. They answered all of my questions and were very patient with us. I appreciate you guys helping our little guy. Word cannot describe how grateful I am! 🐈❤️‍🩹

The kindest staff! They made me and my dog feel super comfortable, explained everything that was going on. Even came and sat on the ground with me and my pup. Shoutout to all the staff working Monday night (07/13)!! They even built a make shift wall so my reactive dog could be as comfortable as possible and not see the other animals coming in and out. Also incredibly clean inside!

I’m caring for my mom’s dog, Schuyler, for her while she is undergoing cancer treatments, so my family and I are already stressed but when Schuyler had some stomach issues at 1am I needed help and I’m glad I went to VEG ER Cary. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted immediately and Schuyler was triaged and in line to see the Dr. The whole staff, from front desk to vet tech to vet were always kind, had a sense of urgency, empathetic, helpful, listened fully and you could tell they understand how important our pets are to us. I felt like they treated us as if we were their own family. They offer snacks and drinks while you wait, and the wait can be a bit because they make sure critical patients are stable and it is an ER after all, but they constantly checked in on me and Schuyler while we did wait. I will say, and this has nothing to do with the staff or hospital itself, but they have an open concept sort of setup so you do see everyone that comes in and the initial triage steps. I had to witness a few very sad, hard moments as other very critical patients came in and were triaged and that was hard for me. I wasn’t aware of this, so I just wasn’t prepared and I have some trauma from my past that was triggered a bit, so I just want to warn people of this as just a heads up. Now that I know, I will still always chose to come here in the future if unfortunately a best friend of mine needs emergency care, because it is worth it for the care and kindness of the whole team as well as their invaluable knowledge and desire to help our babies. And just side note, they do have private rooms and they did always move those critical patients to have privacy with their families eventually, but the initial triage is done right in the huge room with everyone so they can all tend to the pet immediately and so your pet is never taken away from you and you are able to be with it while they treat it every step of the way which is incredible. If unfortunately at some point your best friend needs medical care, this is the place to go. I’m very grateful to them for all their help and empathy when me and my family were going thru a very stressful time. Each and every one of the staff members at VEG ER Cary are heroes in my book.

We did not expect that during our vacation time in Colorado for the 4th of July weekend, Pancake will get sick and needs emergency assistance. I admired their expertise when giving emergency care to my fur-baby. They make sure that Pancake is comfortable and allowed us to stay the whole time he was admitted. I am grateful with Dr. Remy Watt and the team that day. Pancake was doing good with the 10-hour drive back home and recovering well. 😊

I have had the unfortunate experience of having to take my dogs to the emergency vet over the years, however this particular time was the hardest. Two of my dogs got into a fight with each other and Bandit was is rough shape. When we arrived at the Veg in Cranberry, the team assisted in getting Bandit out of the car and one of the team members drove my wife to the ER to be looked at. Dr. Walton was the vet assigned to Bandit’s treatment. Bandit and I were placed in a room where he could be evaluated. Dr. Walton and Nurse Grace completed the surgery on Bandit, with Dr. Walton’s staying 5 hours past her shift. Through the entire process they kept me informed and kept my wife and I as comfortable as they could. A room was prepared for my wife and I to sleep, unbeknownst to me that I would be staying in that room for about three days. Over those next three days, Dr. Yogo and Doctor Neely as well as Nurses Grace, Alyssa, and Anna provided the best care for Bandit that I could ask for. I was made to feel like family. I was informed throughout the entire process with Bandit being checked on every four hours. When these individuals were not available due to other patients, other team members were more than happy to jump in and assist in the needs of both Bandit and I. Due to the professionalism, compassion, and knowledge of the team, Bandit and I felt at home for the time that we were there and Bandit is recovering nicely.

On the 25th on July I came home in the evening to find my baby girl Grisha having a seizure on the bed. VEG ER was one of the only places opened so we rushed her there. They triaged her very quickly and took very good care of my baby. Unfortunately my Grisha could not be saved and we had to make the difficult decision to put her down. The compassion and empathy shown by everyone there was appreciated during this hard time. Before a room was available for us to say our goodbyes they put up partitions to give us a semblance of privacy. When a room opened They gave me plenty of time to say goodbye in a private room. I got to hold her through the whole thing. After she passed we were allowed as much time as we wanted to sit with her. Last week I received her paw print and some hair in the mail along with a personalized card with notes from the staff. While I wish I never had to take her there I appreciate the compassion and care they showed my baby girl and us.
